user roles

    We have dnn installation where there is one parent portal and 4 child portals. 
    Can a portal be binded only one portal?
    2)If I have some roles present in one portal but absent in another. How do manage those roles?

    For eg.

    I have users in portal A, I also want the user to have some roles in portal B  and some roles in portal C but I dont need those roles in portal A.
    I want user to be able to login into all the portals.

    Then how can I manage this?

    Hi... Let me see if I can answer your questions.

    I am not sure what you mean by 'binded' but basically you can use the features to 'sync user roles' which will sync the user to the roles that both exist between portals when single sign on is enabled and if the roles exist.

    Example:
    In Portal A a user has the role "California", if they sign into Portal B with Dynamic Login and portal B is setup with the single sign on feature enabled and there is a role created on Portal B called "California" then the user would be added to both that role and as a valid user on Portal B. Now if you had portal C and you had single sign on enabled and you didn't have a role on that portal called "California" then the user would be setup as a valid user on the portal but obviously not be added to that portal. The entire idea and concept here is to allow the admin to have a central management area to manage a users roles.
