I'm using Opt-In Email version 4.30.71 on DotNetNuke 5.06.02 and I'm getting nothing but ZEROES across the board in the reports, despite being 99% certain that I am using an image bug correctly to determine when the emails have been read.
In the reports section I get this:
Opens (Distinct) 0 (0%) Failed Distributions 0 (0%) Opens 0 (0%) Bounces 0 (0%) Clicks (Distinct) 0 (0%) Opt Outs 0 (0%) Clicks 0 (0%)
I do have the main module on a page that is available to all users, and I have specified that page in the newsletters configuration section of the module.
I can't think of anything else I should check, is there a bug or something that is preventing this from working properly?

Hi Barry, I've seen something similar when the client was testing. Will you please go to the Opt In Email Advanced, then Control Panel, then BounceBack and clear the bounce back list? I believe what is happening is that your test emails may have bounced once and are still in the bounced list so the module is assuming that the email is still not receiving the newsletter. Let me know if the stats change after you clear the bounced list. Thanks! Candace |

Opt-In Email >> Advanced Email >> Control Panel >> Bounceback
There is no "clear the bounceback list in here"
In fact there is no bounceback list at all in here, just settings for:
Bounceback Host User Name Mail Password Use SSL Max number of emails to check, etc.
Am I missing something?

Hi. I don't think this specific issue is related to the bounceback lists... I think in this case the tracking bug is not coming in or tracking properly. A few things... 1. Are you using the Tracking Image? I don't think the Stylesheet option works in Outlook. 2. When the Tracking Image comes in does it show up ok? Assuming #2 is true - please right click on the image and choose "View Image URL" and then let us know what the URL is or copy and paste that URL in your browser. -Chad

Yes, I'm using the image tracking bug.
The Image URL is:

Well, if you are using image tracking then that might be the image you are using but it shouldn't be the URL to the image like this. Are you referencing it as $(TrackingImage) or $(TrackingBug) or are you just inserting that image into the URL? When you right click on the image the URL should actually be pointing to a page that Opt In Email is on and passing some key values. -Chad |
