    This form has multiple fields but 2 in question (this is a simplified version of what is required):

    1.) Combo box with multiple choices values:
    Choice         Value
    Choice A =  A
    Choice B =  B

    2.) Details of either choice kept in multi-column database table:
    Choice, Size, Weight, Color, Shape, Price, Discount, Total
    A, 10, 1, Gold, Circle, 40, 5, 35

    For question 1 when the user selects choice A, question 2 should display the details of A.

    I know I have seen examples of this either in the forum or a demo but I can't seem to locate them. If you know of an example I would be grateful if you can point me in the right direction.

    Hello Dan,

    Here's a Dynamic Form demonstration that covers dependent drop down lists:

    Thank you for pointing me to this demonstration. I am attempting to just display the information in 2nd field so it isn't entirely clear how demo 11 would achieve that. What field type should be used to just display information that is a multi-column select?

    Hello Dan,

    Is the Details of either choice "Choice, Size, Weight, Color, Shape, Price, Discount, Total" being stored in one field? Like a Multi-lined textbox.

    Or do you have a textbox for each of these items?

    You may want to use Initial SQL Binding to handle this. So once a selection is made you may want to redirect to the same page but pass some additional parameters so you can query the data base and pull in multiple values based on the selection from Choices.

    Or you may need to make a Question Event Set Default type, per textbox that needs to pull in dependent values based on your Choice selection.

    Let me know.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

    I decided to go a different route and use the table with the values needed and concatenate in to 2 columns for the combo box: QuestionOption and QuestionOptionValue.

    Question Option is the concatenated select statement:

    --select 'Model: ' + cast(wgt as varchar) + ' weight, ' + cast(LengthFT as varchar) + 'ft ' + cast(LengthIN as varchar) + 'in, ' + cast(Sections as varchar) + ' piece, ' + 'Price: $' + cast(Price as varchar) as QuestionOption, Price as QuestionOptionValue
    from table_name
    where ModelNumber like 'I%'
    union
    select ModelNumber, 0 from table_name
    where ModelNumber like 'Select%'

    Two results are expected
    1.) Models with Model numbers starting with the letter 'I' will return results as:
    QuestionOption = Model: 4 weight, 9ft 3in, 4 piece, Price: $80.00
    QuestionOptionValue = 80.00

    2.) The union portion will return a default value that is the default in the Advanced Setting for the field:
    QuestionOption = select a model
    QuestionOptionValue = 0

    I am trying to trouble shoot why I'm not getting a QuestionOptionValue using client side java event: alert($(selectmodel))

    SelectModel is the name of the combo box defined above.
