I'm using the latest DF, and have been having a problem with attaching files to my email completion events.  I have followed the forum posts (by searching for 'AttachFiles') and user guide instructions but have not been able to get my uploaded files to attach.  I do see that the 'AttachFiles' text is removed from the email, and there is a new parameter added to the debug output, "Attachment:", but the param is empty.

The var name I am using for my attachments are the following:

    $(MaterialsFlyer)

Here is the debug output of the attempted email distribution, sanitized of personal data:

    Attempted Email Distribution
    From: (removed)
    From Name: (removed)
    To: (removed)
    CC: (removed)
    BCC: (removed)
    Priority:0
Subject:COMM - Recruitment Input Tracking Ticket
    Message:

Link to the attached flyer: (removed)
Number of flyers are needed for this recruitment event: 500
Contact picking up the printed materials: PB
    Contact's phone number: 123-456-7890
Location where materials will be picked up: (removed)
Please bundle the flyers in groups of: 23

    Attachment:

As you can see the Attachment: param is blank, even though the link to the attached document is included in the email (removed for security purposes.)

Here is the email body of that completion event:

Link to the attached flyer: $(MaterialsFlyer_Link)
Number of flyers are needed for this recruitment event:    $(QuantityMaterials)
Contact picking up the printed materials: $(MaterialsContactName)

Location where materials will be picked up: $(MaterialsPickupLocation)
Please bundle the flyers in groups of: $(FlyerBundleSize)

    Any ideas???

    Thank you,

Patrick, I' using the latest DF and the attachment works fine for me. I can see that you've set the completion event correctly for the attachment $(MaterialsFlyer_Link). Try picking a small .txt or .xml file and see if the link to it shows up. Then get back with me. -- David

The attachments show up fine in the body of the email, using the $(MaterialsFlyer_Link), but no attachment is sent in the email.

I just tested with a test 1k text document. Here is the email snippet generated:

Link to the attached flyer: http://(removed)/Portals/0/Dynamic-Forms_Uploads/2ad3157e-28ac-4f8b-8719-becceca8d3e0.txt

That part is fine, but there is no record on our mail server of the attachment being sent in the email as a MIME attachment, even though the 'AttachFiles' text is removed from the email. Is there some other place that I can look to see where this is failing?

Patrick, can you verify something? When you get the email with the link, can you click on it and make sure that it does open up? Maybe send me email (david@datasprings.com) and give me admin rights to your site so I can take a look at the problem. -- David
